There was a lot to do leading up to the IronMan. Ben pretty much took the entire week off of training besides one short run and bike ride. We had a bunch of t-shirts printed so that the whole family could wear them. We ordered over 45 shirts!
On Wednesday they all went and checked in and picked up their bags and then on Thursday night there was an IronMan banquet where they showed lots of motivational videos and went over all of the rules.

On Friday it was time to drop everything off. There are 5 different bags that the athletes have to pack. If they happen to forget something they are just out of luck because they can't have any outside assistance...besides what the aides stations offer.

| This is where all of the athletes enter the water to start the 2.4 mile swim. It was a beautiful day and we were hoping that the next day would be just as nice. |

| The was a race on Friday night called the IronKids. The girls were SO excited to run it and get their own medals and finisher Tshirts. |

We went over to Ben's parents house to have a spaghetti dinner with everybody. We decided that we wanted to decorate our cars as well..

I arranged to have a couple of my nieces sleep over so that I could go out and watch the swim and not have to bring all my children with me. Thanks so much Whitney & Lindy!
We got to bed about midnight and knew that we had to get up at 3:30. Race day here we come!
