July 24th

The 24th of July was a fun weekend but a terrible one at the same time. Our air conditioning went out on Wednesday night and nobody could come and fix it until Friday morning. We were going out of town for a family reunion so we asked a friend to let the guy in our house. When we got home on Friday evening we were expecting to walk in to a cool house and when we walked in it was almost 100 degrees! We were supposed to be going to Pine Valley that night but ended up staying at my parents and driving to Enterprise early Saturday morning so Ben could run his race. As soon as the race was over Ben headed back down to St. George to meet with the a/c guy to make sure it got fixed this time (which it did...or so we thought). We stayed in Pine Valley Saturday night and when we got home on Sunday it was hot in our house once again. We spent one more night at my parents before we FINALLY got the a/c fixed and could sleep at our house once again.

Besides the trouble with the a/c we had a fun weekend with the Neumanns.

Saturday morning Ben ran a 10K along with a lot of his family.

My girls love to see their dad run and give him five when he runs by. Emma put her hand back to give him a high five and then was devastated when he missed her. She cried and cried.

The Neumanns who ran either the 5K or the 10K. As they were giving out the awards it seemed like every other award went to a Neumann!

After the race there was a parade and the Hunt family had a float that my girls were on with their cousins and grandparents. They were excited to wave to everybody in the parade and since they were one of the first floats they still got to get lots of candy and watch the rest of the parade!

The grandkids did a bunch of skits for everybody. Ady did her first acting performance!

It is only 9 seconds long and she doesn't say a thing...pretty good!

All of the boys in Ben's family bike and run except for one brother. After lunch they all decided to go on a bike ride and Cade decided to join them...on a 4-wheeler of course!

We had a fun time with everybody and we were glad that we weren't sitting at home in our hot house:) We are so glad that we have the opportunity to live so close to family and that we get to spend holidays with them.
