We had a great Christmas this year. It was very busy, but very fun! Christmas Eve is my favorite part of Christmas and we had lots to do with breakfast, gift exchanges, nativity stories, and seeing Santa Claus.
Ben's sister, Sarah, and I are due just one week apart so we both got to spend the holidays pregnant:)
Santa Claus showed up at Ben's family Christmas party. Ady of course was a little nervous but at least she sat on his lap without crying (that is the best she has ever done). She does like it better when Emma sits with her...it makes her more brave! They both got to tell him what they wanted for Christmas...a kitty.
We had a really long day so the girls were nice and tired when it was time to go to bed. This is them showing off their new jammies that their grandma had made for them.
On Christmas morning the girls got up around 8:00. We had to wait a few minutes for my parents to show up before we would let them out in the front room. They were so excited when they saw that Santa Claus had come:)
After going through their stockings I said to Ady "Let's see what else Santa brought for you." She looked at me and said "But mom, I don't hear anything meowing!." She was a little disappointed that Santa hadn't followed through on that request (Ben and I were really glad though)!
The girls main present was their new bedroom. The whole month of December we worked on decorating our old craft/crap room and turning it into the girls new bedroom. We didn't want the girls to see it so we would have to work on it at night after they were in bed. It ended up turning out really cute...and really pink.
After the girls had opened everything from under the tree we took them down the hall and let them see their room. They love it and anytime anybody comes over they want to show them their new room. I have been working on teaching Ady and Emma how to make their bed all by themselves and they actually do a pretty good job.
Ady & Emma trying out their new bed. They get to share a queen size bed. So far it has gone pretty well. There have been a few nights when I have to threaten them that one of them will have to sleep somewhere else if they don't go to sleep, but for the most part they are doing well.
After we opened presents on Christmas morning we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Hunt's house to have our traditional Christmas breakfast. It was delicious as always and so fun for the girls to get to see all of their cousins. We had a great Christmas and got to spend lots of time with our families. Since Christmas our focus has been on getting the babies room finished, washing clothes, buying diapers (lots and lots of diapers), figuring out what we have and what we still need, and all the fun baby and pregnancy stuff. I am now 30 weeks and it is coming really fast (somedays) and not fast enough (other days).
