Ady's Birthday Party

For Ady's birthday party this year she wanted to do a Triathlon. This wasn't what I was really thinking. I was thinking a princess tea party where everybody could dress up or something a little more girlie. Once she decided that's what she wanted we started working on it and it turned out to be A LOT of fun!

Here are the invitations that I made to invite all of the kids to the "event".

We made these race bib's for all of the kids to wear during the triathlon.

And when they finished they all received a finisher's medal. It was attached to a ribbon so they could wear it around their necks.
The only problem was the day we picked happened to be the coldest day of the week and when we got there to set up it was quite windy. Thankfully it died down enough so that it wasn't freezing during the party.

Here are all of the kids lined up and ready for the race to start. They all have their numbers on and then every kid got a pair of goggles to wear. We did the race in 2 heats since that is how many bikes we had.

This is the first group doing the swim. We just set up a ropes and had flags that the kids had to crawl under for the swim portion of the race.

Ady was the first one out (she had been practicing while we were setting up).

After the swim all of the kids jumped on wiggle cars and had to ride a marked course.

After the bike they had to run around a loop at the park and then come back and cross the finish line. This is Ady just crossing the finish line.

Time for the next heat! It was going well until Emma crawled into one of the stakes that was holding up our course:(

The kids had so much fun that they wanted to keep doing it. I think that they all got to do it three times.

After the races we took all of the kids on the carousel that had just reopened for the spring.

It was fun!

Then it was time for one more race. Emma finally had courage to do it again after her little head injury and she really got into it.

Ady opened her presents and got SO MUCH fun stuff. She was loving everything!

After we had pizza and cupcakes. I think that everybody had a really good time and one of the little girls told Ben "this is the best party EVER!"

Now time to plan the twins party!!!
