Halloween

We had a great weekend leading up to Halloween and a fun Halloween as well. Ady's school had a Halloween carnival that was really fun. I went with the girls in to a little haunted house (it had Winnie the Pooh and Tigger) and the girls were terrified. They enjoyed the other games though.

Our church had a party that I had to help organize. It turned out to be a lot of fun (as well as a lot of work)! The girls didn't even dare to enter the spook alley there. I hadn't planned on dressing up but decided to at the last minute (literally). Ben's hair took a little more planning:)
Here is our cute family. Ben is a pro wrestler, I am his girlfriend, Sadie and Stockton are 50's kiddos, Emma is Little Red Riding Hood (minus the hood...she wouldn't keep it on), and Ady is Little Miss Muffet.
There was a costume parade for all of the kids. As you can see Emma wasn't too excited about being on the stage (they actually had to walk through part of the spook alley to get there and that is why she was so upset).
The second go around she did a little bit better:)
Ben with his amazing hair. He has been thinking about cutting it for a couple of weeks and I suggested waiting so that we could do something fun with it for Halloween.
This is what we came up with. It was pretty funny when we walked into the party and the looks that we got. The best was that he kept it like this for almost a week (he wears a hat everyday) since we never had time to cut it. At church (the day after the party) he got some interesting looks and some questions about his comb over hair and mullet. It was pretty funny!
We won the "All in the Family" prize and got these awesome glasses. Of course the girls had to model them along with some of their other prizes from the carnival.
Scary Emma!
Frightening Ady!
On Monday, Ady had a costume parade at her school. I loaded up all the kids and went to see her. She was so excited and looked so cute in her Little Miss Muffet costume. This is her with her two kindergarten teachers that she loves:)
Ady with her best bud in kindergarten.
Emma had to dress up for Ady's parade as well.
Little Red Riding Hood and Little Miss Muffet getting ready to get some CANDY!
Ady loved every minute of dressing up.
Emma finally decided that the hood wasn't so bad. At her preschool party that morning she refused to wear the hood and told her teacher that she was a princess.
Ben and his cute girls.
Our little Lion Man.
Sadie as the pea pod.
Sadie wasn't such a fan of the pea pod so we ended up switching her costume. Stockton made a cute little lion and actually did really well.
Trick-or-treating at their great grandparents house. It was our very first stop!
Stockton getting ready for a big night.
Sadie just enjoying being comfortable.
We added a few spider accessories to Ady's outfit.

Next we headed over to grandma and grandpa Beckstrom's house to have dinner and meet up with the other Beckstrom grandkids.
This is all but two of the grandkids on my side of the family. We are getting to be a big crew:)

Our cute kids!
The girls...Little Red Riding Hood, Little Miss Muffet, Little Bo Peep (she lost her sheep so that is why it's not in the picture)! We were a family of nursery rhymes:)
The boys...kind of a scary looking bunch!
The twins with Dad
Hanging out with mom (can you believe how big they are getting)?!
Just hanging out in the swings.
All the family. What a cute group! I skipped out on the dressing up (it was hard enough getting everybody else ready)!
All the kids with grandma & grandpa Beckstrom

We had fun trick or treating with our cousins for a little bit and then we headed back home and did some trick or treating in our own neighborhood. The girls had so much fun this year. Last year we could hardly get them to go to the door and this year they were running a head of us (at least in the beginning). It didn't seem like we went to that many houses but when we got home the girls had TONS of candy. Ben and I have been enjoying it a little too much:)
I absolutely love this time of year and am excited for the next few months. Life is crazy round our house and it seems like it is always getting crazier but we are doing great and are grateful for our wonderful kids.
